Me vs. dice

I imagine [livejournal.com profile] 2h20 and [livejournal.com profile] haak0n will find this most entertaining.

--

As most of you know, [livejournal.com profile] sigerson runs a D&D 3.5 campaign in which I play. Tonight was the climactic session, in which we were to fold up a major plotline.

Many of you also know that I have a reputation for being poor at rolling dice.

So.

At one point in the session, I make six consecutive rolls that turn up the worst possible outcome (4d4, 1d10, 1d6) -- a chance of 1 in 15360.

During the big battle, I make four consecutive rolls for, again, the worst possible outcome (1d10, 1d6, 1d10, 1d6) -- 1 in 3600.

I'm not bitter.

EDIT: I will hereafter refer to 'worst possible outcome' as 'the assiest end of the bell curve."

Sure does suck being incapacitated for seven rounds of the Great Big Combat, doesn't it?

*ducks*

Wow, it's kind of like deja vu. :)

What do you propose to sacrifice to the die gods to improve your rolls?

Well, I'm not sure what would help -- but I'm now a d10 short, as it somehow got flung out of a window. Perhaps that will suffice.

I always wondered why you charted each and every die roll...

Right up there with Lansing dropping four of six to Lafayette. Random numbers hate you indeed. Did anyone die?

Actually, I would argue that I was rather lucky to lose four of six to you ;).

[livejournal.com profile] cute_fuzzy_evil's character died, in an earlier combat; she got separated from us, was teleported to a room with a big skeletal beast, and...didn't kill it.

Did Haakon tell you about our last episode in his campaign?

I was playing a "can't deal in cities" druid. The last big battle occurs- in the city. I camp outside the walls, waiting for my friends to come and get me if they need me.

I sat there for 7 hours while our session wound up, because I couldn't find a way to get my character INTO the city. That sucked.

Did Darra kick butt?

Dara was well away from the action; no way I would let her anywhere near this thing.

If one end's the assiest, what's the other called?

Why, the badassiest, of course.

The icons of you two has me thinking of a fight between Pipboy and Milkman Dan.
Any bets?
