OK, got some catching up to do...

Dierks Bentley - What Was I Thinkin'
Eric Church - Hell on the Heart
Jamey Johnson - Women
Josh Turner - Would You Go With Me
Keith Urban - Days Go By
Lady Antebellum - Lookin' For a Good Time
Laura Bell Bundy - Rebound
Reba McEntire - Fancy
Sugarland - It Happens

I managed to be on vacation this week. Whew.
Snoop Dogg - Beautiful
Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot [vO]
Snoop Dogg - Ridin' in My Chevy [vO]
Snoop Dogg - Sensual Seduction
Snoop Dogg - Snoop's Upside Ya Head [vO]
Snoop Dogg - Tha Shiznit
Snoop Dogg - That's Tha Homie [VO]
Snoop Dogg - Who Am I (What's My Name) [VO]

One of the things that surprised me about these songs is how utterly boring they are. NOTHING HAPPENS.
*Dio - Holy Diver [V]
Dio - Stand Up & Shout [v]
Juliana Hatfield - Nirvana
Morrissey - Irish Blood English Heart
Silverchair - Straight Lines
The Smiths - This Charming Man
Underoath - Writing on the Walls [VO]

Dio. Totally ridiculous over-the-top '80s metal.

I don't know much about Juliana Hatfield; this song contrasts fairly heavy rock against her waifish voice.

If, like me, you have a soft spot for mopey Britpop, you already know Morrissey and The Smiths. Still, in spite of my fondness, neither of these songs do it for me.

Silverchair is pretty straight-ahead rock. This song has some interesting chord changes, but whatever.

Underoath is screamy metal. Really, guys?
Bob Marley - Is This Love [V]
Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry [O]
Bob Marley - Could You Be Loved [V]
Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier [O]
Bob Marley - Stir It Up [V]
Bob Marley - One Love/People Get Ready
Bob Marley - I Shot the Sheriff
Bob Marley - Waiting in Vain [V]
Bob Marley - Redemption Song [V]
Bob Marley - Satisfy My Soul
Bob Marley - Exodus [VO]
Bob Marley - Jammin'

So a little note on Bob Marley -- I'm pretty sure that the general perception of him is as a laid-back, pot-smoking dreadlocked Buddha. Which is odd considering that some of his most popular songs -- for example "Get Up Stand Up", "Buffalo Soldier", "Exodus" -- are strongly activist.

Maybe this is another instance of the Noble Savage at play.
