I like the Foo Fighters; Dave Grohl can write a good melody and their energy and passion that never seems forced.
Finnish band Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" was the winner of Eurovision 2006.
And I know they're kind of historically important, but Run-DMC is of a time and place that just makes me think of grade-school juvenalia. Given the video for this song, it's amusing that they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
