Blues help

For a while, I've had a hankering to find out more about what I imagine '20s and '30s country and blues sounds like.

Then I picked up Real Gone, and realized all I really wanted was more Tom Waits.

Nevertheless, if anybody has any suggestions as to where to look, I'm listening.
